APARTMENT IN EXARCHIA

KALLIDROMIOU 11, ATHENS

The main characteristic of this typical Athens apartment in Exarchia is its oblong structure:  Each room succeeds the other in a long row. We wanted to break this structure and to create a more unified leaving area with flexible use and natural light. The walls and the carpentry are painted white in order to reflect the light and to give way to the colorful objects that surround them. A low wall and three ceiling lights separate the kitchen from the dinning. The bathroom is designed in straight lines and in black &white so as to give a spacious and clean feeling. In the leaving room a big bookcase covers an entire wall and also works as an office, giving the space depth and variety of images.
