In Nea Erythraia, in an open area of 10.000 sq.m., a municipal recreation and green park was designed and constructed following the winning competition. The genuine requirements of designing a contemporary public space where addressed through defined axis linking different uses. Corridors and recreational areas are diversified through a contrasting use of hard and natural materials (concrete, wood, marble, soil, pebbles, water). Recreational activities and play become the dominant uses of the open space in and out the playground boundaries.
